FUNDRAISER UPDATE: Mr. Zacek's homeroom has pulled into the lead with Mr. Thelen's and Mrs. Lannin's close behind.

BOOK CLUB: The middle school book club meets Monday at lunch in Mrs. Brewer's room.

SLHS DRAMA presents The Wind in the Willows on April 25th & 26th (7:00pm) & 27th (1:00pm), in the High School Auditorium. Tickets available at www.springlakeschools.org

GREEN GROUP: All 7th & 8th Graders interested in joining the green group for 2024 please to go to Mrs. Kuhlman's homeroom TODAY to learn about it. 

SOLAR ECLIPSE GLASSES are still being collected in the office.

WRITING CAMP: Grand Valley State University is hosting summer writing camps for students who love to write. See this link for information.

iChallengeUth Camp: Signups for the summer program, iChallengeUth through the Ottawa Area ISD, open up on Monday! This is a great summer program where current 6th - 8th grade students can gain real-world work experience at local businesses. Teams work together to develop new and innovative solutions to real-world problems faced by local organizations. Please contact Miss Adrian with any questions! Click HERE for the flyer.

SPORTS:

HS SIDELINE CHEER: 8th Graders interested in cheering in high school should attend the informational meeting scheduled for April 26th during Homeroom.

HS GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Any 8th Grade Girl interested in playing Freshman Volleyball should plan to attend an informational meeting during lunch on Tuesday, April 30th.

MS ROWING: If you are interested in participating on the MS Rowing Team click HERE and then click on the Middle School link. This co-ed sport will run April 29th thru May 29th on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 3:45-5:15pm. It is held on the Grand River behind the Middle School. The cost is $100.00 per person.

PARENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

7th GRADE PARENTS: Don’t forget to review you student’s course selections they made for 8th grade. Log into PowerSchool and take a look. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Sarah O’Brien at sobrien@springlakeschools.org by the end of the day on Friday.

MS YEARBOOKS: There are not many books left for sale Go to Jostens.com. The cost is $40. ORDER NOW!! The books will be handed out towards the end of the school year. Email gbrye@springlakeschools.org if you need to check to see if you ordered a book already.

MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS: If your student is absent for any type of medical appointment, please have them bring a copy of their appointment slip to the office when they return. The attendance will then be changed to EM (Excused Medical).

FOOD SERVICE: For Food Service information and the monthly menu, click HERE. Please note, occasionally the menu does need to change. Those changes are typically noted in the student portion of the announcements above.

NOTIFICATIONS: Don’t forget to set up your automatic notifications. Log into your PowerSchool parent account and choose Notifications, it is suggested that you start with checking the boxes for Summary of Grades & Attendance and for Daily Announcements, pick Daily as the frequency and Submit.
