ANNOUNCEMENTS for 10-22-2024 NO BIRTHDAYS TODAY NO SCHOOL FRIDAY: Due to Staff Professional Development, there is no school on Friday. FOUND: A pair of glasses were turned in at the office. MSU vs UofM: Wear your favorite sport team on Thursday. THE LAKER WAY: Our next drawing will be Thursday. Four lucky winners will be drawn and one lucky teacher will also have an opportunity to win a prize! Be sure to put your Laker tickets in the bucket in the main office to be entered into our weekly drawing. Don’t forget all the tickets will be entered into our end of trimester BIG drawing!! MS DANCE! Get ready for our first after school dance that will be held Friday, November 8 from 3-5 PM in the small gym. Fro-yo and a photo booth with be available to purchase. This is a casual dance. More information will be provided later. SPORTS: CROSS COUNTRY: Please turn in your uniforms to the office. BOYS BASKETBALL: Any boys interested in playing Basketball who missed the informational meeting should see Mr. Core. You must have a current physical form on file to try out. MS COED WRESTLING: If you are considering or interested in joining the Middle School Wrestling team in January, please come to a quick meeting with Coach Trask in the conference room TODAY after the Pledge. This is a coed sport and all are welcome even if you have never wrestled before. You are not making any commitment if you attend the meeting, so come and learn a little more. COMPETITIVE CHEER: If you are interested in participating in Competitive Cheer you should attend the informational meeting on Tuesday during lunch. Mr. Core will release you from the lunchroom. You must have a current physical form on file to try out. GIRLS SWIM & DIVE: All girls interested in joining the Swim & Dive Team and missed the meeting may sign up in the office. You must have a current physical form on file to practice. DANCE TEAM: Click HERE if you are interested in joining the Junior Dance Team. LATE WINTER SPORTS: If you are interested in participating in Boys Swim & Dive, Girls Basketball or Wrestling, make sure you get your physical scheduled soon, if you do not have a current one on file. With these sports starting right after the Christmas break, it may be hard to get in for appointments through the holidays. You do not have to pay for the sport until after tryouts for Basketball and Cheer or when Swim & Dive start practices. Athletes do need to have a current physical on file to try out or practice. YEARBOOKS: Yearbooks make a great gift. Order the Middle School yearbooks through Jostens.com. The cost is $40.00. HAND2HAND: Click HERE for information on the Hand2Hand food program. TUTOR LIST: Click HERE for available tutors. SCHOOLOGY: Click HERE to access Schoology as a parent. Log into PowerSchool to get your Schoology password. Schoology shows the homework that teachers have assigned. Log into your PowerSchool parent account and choose Notifications, it is suggested that you start with checking the boxes for Summary of Grades & Attendance and for Daily Announcements, pick Daily as the frequency and Submit.
